MCA SUMMER CAMPS

MCA offers summer camp programming to all elementary and middle school aged students every summer!  Our camps are highly interactive and educational.  Subject areas covered throughout camp are Math, English, Science, Art, Music, Physical Education, and Drama.  Students will enjoy an engaging activity-based learning program, as well as weekly off-campus trips to some of Toronto and Mississauga’s main attractions.  Most summers, our day camps run from the first week of July to the first week of August.  Before and after care is offered to our camp families.

Please note: Students must have completed Junior Kindergarten to join our camp.

Caleb Hooper

This fall, Caleb will be heading to Ryerson University to study Journalism and pursue a possible career in writing or broadcasting. Outside of school and work, Caleb volunteers at Mississauga City Baptist Church as a part of the worship team, playing acoustic and electric guitar and he is very interested in music and its history. Previously, he has worked at Camp Dakota: Frontline Outreach in Oakville for the past two years and has been working with kids since his first volunteering LIT experience at Sauga Day Camp in Mississauga. In Caleb’s spare time, he will most likely be outside (especially during the summer) either riding his bike, skateboarding or practicing photography alongside his friends. Some of Caleb’s favourite sports include basketball, football and rugby; all of which he enjoys playing either for his school or in his spare time. This summer poses many amazing opportunities for Caleb and he is extremely happy to be working with this year's MCA Summer Camp.

She enjoys watching action movies, spending time with family and friends, and studying. Melanie has volunteered at MCA Summer Camp in previous years and loves learning new things and taking on new challenges. Melanie appreciates sports, in particular, basketball and even played in her elementary years on a school team. One thing Melanie looks forward to is graduating law school and fighting for the rights of people who cannot fight for themselves. She cannot wait to meet the campers and have a great summer with them!

Joshua has been very embedded in his community, volunteering with different organizations and being a part of the great Ontario Summer Games. Joshua is a current Ontario track record holder, National track team qualifier, and a South Ontario High Jump Champion! He also played football, basketball and rugby in which he ranked as one of the top wingers in the Region of Peel. Joshua loves music, making beats, learning the history of music and plays the drums and piano, saxophone and currently learning to play the bass guitar.
